Wrote this song while partying at a friend's old farm house back in the 1970's. I started looking at the newspaper and for some reason, started reading some of the print backwards which is what led to this song about what was happening around me!
lyrics
The Backwards Song
Sittin’ on the mraf, talking to the slamina
Ran into a Nahguav, looking for a ananab
There goes Drail, he’s driving down the yawenal
Holy shit, he’s got a truckload of sotamot
I see Kcir, he’s lighting up another ffilps,
He’s so stoned he can hardly hold his guitar kcip
Oh my my, I think I see another one, it must be Ycnan you can tell mub bmun
Chorus:
Well we’re singing this song drawkcab, please don’t ask me why
A lot of heads together, always will get high
Yeah we’re singing this song drawkcab, waiting for the daerb to rise
We’re just stoned out in the country, waiting for the swoc to fly
Well there goes Dub, he’s looking like a tuonrub,
He’s running down the nwal, trying to kick a noolab
Take a look at Nerac, she’s driving in her oremac,
Taking scenic pictures, she’s always got her aremac
Watch out for Arat, she’ll pans you with her birthday hat,
She’s off driving Ecurb home but be aware ‘cause she’ll be back
Come gather round the ecalperif and listen to the gnos we gnis
You may not think it’s very doog but see if you can wollof this!
Repeat Chorus
